Thomas Schnur, born in 1983, is one of the most active, committed and surprising young designers. He comes from hard practice (apprenticeship as a carpenter), but also knows the subtlety of theory, (studied product design at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences). He knows important protagonists of international design (collaboration with Mathieu Lehanneur in Paris) and the wider world (studies at the École Supérieure d'Art et Design de Saint Étienne). No wonder that his works have been presented on numerous national and international design platforms. Among them the IMM Cologne, Maison et Objet Paris, Salone del Mobile Milan, ICFF New York and Beijing Design Week. Its distinctive and original design has found favour with many renowned manufacturers such as Functionals, Tecta, Magazine and - we humbly name ourselves last in this line-up - also here at jankurtz.
