KAI LINKE

We have to take up the cudgels for the HfG Offenbach. The Hessian Academy of Design is, in a way, a hotbed of talent. Not only did the German shooting star Sebastian Herkner (see above) learn his craft there, but Kai Linke also enjoyed his education here. And he can come up with quite a bit of name-dropping: he worked for the renowned Rotterdam studio Makkink & Bey, who come from the school of the Dutch movement Droog Design, and was engaged in the studio of top artist Tobias Rehberger, whose colourful installations enrich the cafés of the Venice Biennale in the Giardini and the Fondazione Prada in Milan. The list of his clients is equally illustrious: among them the Danish design forge &tradition, the noble catalogue Manufactum, the brand Pulpo, which wants to explore the border between design and art with its range of products. We almost forgot: jankurtz is also one of them, with several examples.
